Excellent value for money with fabulous views. The Palazzo Giovanelli hotel is located next to Grand Canal and within each reach of all the major sights, either on foot or by water bus.

The classic-styled rooms are decorated with original paintings, Italian furniture and modern comforts such as flat screen satellite TV, air conditioning, minibar, free WiFi.

Located very slightly north of the San Polo district boundary, the airport water bus Orange line stop (S. Stae) is just steps from the hotel. You can also walk to the train and bus station - both less than 15 minutes' walk away.

Our favorite budget choice in Venice. The Generator is located on Giudecca Island, just south of the central districts. From here, Saint Mark Square can be seen from a distance, and it is just a 10-minute ride by water bus to reach the town centre.

Housed in a historic 3-storey building, all guest rooms are large, bright and modern (as with other Generator hostels). Both private rooms and dorms are available and include free WiFi.

The onsite restaurant and café bar has a nice lounge area with pool table. Buffet breakfast options include vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. Excellent value for money.

The hotel is just a couple of minutes walk from the Airport Waterbus Blue Line - Zitelle stop.

If you fancy a bit of luxury in Venice, then the Hilton Molino Stucky is definitely one to consider. This 5-star hotel is located on the peaceful Giudecca Island, in a building which was once a flour mill.
