The Turku Art Museum is one of the coolest old buildings in the city. Opened in 1904, it's got an awesome national romantic style designed by Gustaf Nyström. Inside, it houses one of Finland's biggest art collections covering everything from the golden age to surrealism to pop art. They've even got a great collection of self-portraits.

The Museum of Archaeology and Contemporary Art, or Aboa Vetus Ars Nova, is a one-of-a-kind museum located right in the heart of Turku.

Moominworld, inspired by Tove Jansson's beloved Moomin characters, is a unique theme park in Naantali, Finland. Jansson, a progressive queer artist, created these enchanting characters that continue to delight fans of all ages. The park offers a range of attractions and activities, immersing visitors in the whimsical world of the Moomins. Reopening on June 11, 2024, it's a must-visit destination for families and Moomin enthusiasts.

Named after renowned sculptor Wäinö Aaltonen, WAM is Turku's museum for modern art. Conveniently located downtown along the Aura River, it's home to Aaltonen's own works from early sketches to grand finished sculptures like the over 4-meter tall Maiden of Finland that welcomes visitors in the lobby. The museum also hosts his donated collection and other acquisitions spanning different eras of modern art in Finland and beyond.
