Gay Koh Samui Beaches

At 7 km long, Chaweng Beach is the longest, most developed and most popular beach on Koh Samui. The area around the end of Soi Lamdin (off Chaweng Beach Rd) tends to be particularly popular with gay sunbathers.

The beach has everything, from a wide selection of beachfront bars & restaurants to water sport rentals (jet skis, banana boats, windsurfing) and more.

There are numerous upmarket resorts along the beach that extend back to Chaweng Beach Rd, the epicentre of Koh Samui's gay (and straight) nightlife.

Samui's 2nd largest beach located on a corner in the south of the island. The white sandy Lamai Beach has a quieter, more laid-back vibe than Chaweng, though there's still plenty to see and do.

The southern end of the beach is best for swimming. The northern end is quieter and shallow quite a long way out. There is a good choice of beach restaurants and cheaper places to eat and drink along the road immediately behind the beach.

MaeNam (or Mae Nam) Beach extends west from BoPhut beach along the northern coast of Samui.

This quiet beach is lined with coconut trees and retains some of Samui character from the day's before mass tourism (although in recent years, luxury resorts have sprung up, such as the W Resort & Spa).

The beach also offers great views across to nearby Koh Pha-ngan.

Located on the north coast of Koh Samui, BoPhut is a beautiful indented beach that is often called "bay".  The sandy shoreline is a few kilometres long.

BoPhut is also home to the famous "Fisherman's Village", a narrow street lined with wooden Chinese shophouses, boutiques and restaurants.
