    Ex casa dell’imprenditore americano James H.W. Thompson che si trasferì a Bangkok e iniziò l’industria della seta thailandese dopo la seconda guerra mondiale.

    Interesting

    Had a couple of hours free and decided to visit (based on this site suggestion). Easy to find from the National Stadium BTS - just down a side street immediately before the Holiday Inn Hotel. Entry fee of 150 baht includes a 30 minute guided tour of the house in English (tours in other languages were also available). More interesting that I thought it would be. Nothing to do with silk making, more about the man himself and the history of the house and its contents. There is a shop where you can buy JT products and a good café / restaurant.
