Litfest homochrom in Cologne is the largest festival for German-speaking queer literature, taking place for the second time ever from 7 to 10 July 2022.
The festival was founded in 2021. There will be over 30 readings by the authors themselves, book signings, and meet & greets - as well as closed-shop networking.
The festival is taking place a week after Cologne Pride and is free of charge, but donations are very welcome - without them, there won't be another festival in 2023.
Several readings are being streamed live right away and virtually; all of them are published as videos and podcasts later on. For those who speak German, this is a rare and comprehensive opportunity to enjoy and discover LGBTIAQ literature.
