Gay Porto

Porto is a gem on Portugal's coast–think colorful buildings tumbling down to the Douro River, amazing food, and those famous port wine cellars (free tastings, anyone?).

While wandering the charming old streets, you'll find a laid-back, welcoming vibe for LGBTQ+ visitors. The gay scene here is smaller than Lisbon's but super friendly, with a handful of fun bars and clubs clustered downtown that really come alive on weekends.

Portugal's progressive attitude (they've had same-sex marriage since 2010!) means you can generally feel comfortable being yourself while enjoying all the amazing things Porto has to offer–from incredible seafood to stunning views.
